On days when you don’t feel like yourself, get a quick pick-me-up and bust your bad mood instantly.

Hormone Therapy Atlanta GASometimes, you don’t feel like yourself. What you need is a way to vent these negative emotions.

It’s tough to feel good when you’re not quite feeling like yourself, whether you are struggling with a low mood, anxiety, or just a lack of motivation.

Your hormones may be messed up, causing you to feel a rollercoaster ride of emotions. If you’re in the Atlanta area, you can check out a clinic that provides a different approach to hormone therapy.

What is happening to me?

We all go through the occasional rough patch. Whether it is related to work, family, or even just getting older, there are times that your bad mood just takes a toll on your body and health.

If you’re feeling less than yourself physically, mentally, and emotionally, generally noticing your moods to be unexplained, and if you’re having trouble sleeping through the night, you may have hormone imbalance affecting your everyday life.

In a nutshell, hormones are chemicals released by the human body. In addition to affecting your physical well-being, hormones also affect your emotional state. Therefore, it’s important to regulate your hormones to significantly improve and balance your emotional health and resolve your mood swings.

How do I improve my mood?

Here are some tips to help you manage your mood.

  • Avoid caffeine and alcohol

Both caffeine and alcohol can influence your sleep quality. As we all know, sleep has a big impact on how people manage their mental health and feel about themselves generally. Getting 7-8 hours of sleep can make a difference in how you feel the next day.

Too much caffeine can increase feelings of stress and anxiety. Caffeine increases your body’s alertness and, in doing so, can make someone already struggling even more anxious.

Similarly, alcohol reduces sleep quality, so you aren’t getting the deep rest that your brain needs. Alcohol tends to increase depressive symptoms, making them more prone to alcohol abuse.

So, if you want a pick-me-upper, think twice before you drink that nth cup of coffee or wine.

  • Change your diet

As mentioned earlier, what you consume may be affecting your mood. Are you eating healthy meals? Are you snacking on too much sugar?

Mood and mental health can be affected by blood sugar changes. Fluctuations in blood sugar caused by excess sugar consumption can make you moody and irritable. Sugar has also been linked to symptoms of depression and anxiety.

It may be beneficial to eat smaller meals to improve mood. That’s because shifts in blood sugar following large meals can contribute to emotional changes.

Your body adapts eventually, but the first-line benefit of eating small meals is that they can control your blood sugar and insulin levels throughout the day. As a result, you are less likely to experience extreme mood swings.

  • Get regular exercise

We all know that exercise can improve your health. But did you also know it can increase your mood, reduce stress and anxiety, and decrease depression?

Exercise is a natural stress reliever. It helps calm your nerves and improve your mood. Exercising regularly can help you feel happier, more energetic, less stressed, and healthier.

Thankfully, Atlanta is a walkable and pedestrian-friendly city. Neighborhoods have a lot of open parks with outdoor gym facilities. Take the time to exercise outside (or even at home) to give you that boost of energy and improved mood.

  • Get hormone therapy

Hormone therapy is used to boost your hormone levels. It effectively treats hormone imbalance and alleviates signs and symptoms of age-related hormone decline, such as mood swings. Hormone therapy will help you in improving your mood and general well-being.

What causes rapid shifts in my mood?

  • Substance use

Drinking to escape from the stresses of life or to fit in with others can be a serious problem. Excessive alcohol consumption can also cause significant shifts in mood.

This may negatively affect your relationships with friends and family and may disrupt your daily activities. Take time to reflect on how excessive alcohol use impacts you.

  • Medications

Some medications may affect your mood. Some medications may improve your mood but may leave you feeling sad or depressed. This is essentially true in people with a history of mental illness or depression.

  • Hormonal conditions

Hormones can affect moods as well. This is linked to hormones affecting brain chemistry. Most pregnant women and women going through menopause have mood swings due to hormone changes associated with pregnancy and aging.

Not only that, but age-related hormone decline negatively affects emotional well-being, well-being, and sex life.

Are snacks good or bad for weight loss?

Quick Weight Loss Center Atlanta GASnacking is often touted as a key weight loss strategy. Diet experts at quick weight loss centers say snacking more frequently is essential for keeping blood sugar levels under control and managing hunger pangs.

However, others say eating between meals leads to unnecessary calories in the form of empty calories found in many snack foods.

So the question is, should you snack or not?

Here’s why you should snack

Snacking becomes quite healthy when you consider that it provides you with the energy you need to get through your day. The experts can tell us all about the health benefits of snacking, especially when it comes to your diet.

When you’re feeling hungry, it’s easy to make a bad food choice. Snacks can help you deal with hunger and fatigue that may come with changing your diet; your blood sugar drops if you go for long periods between meals. It usually leads to tiredness, irritability, and headaches. It’s more difficult to eat mindfully when you’re “hangry” and your blood sugar crashes.

Snacking can also be a helpful approach for those who have trouble with portion control. Eating snacks in between meals prevents you from overindulging in food.

When you snack properly, you ensure your metabolism gets the energy that it needs to burn calories more efficiently, which can help keep off the pounds.

Why you don’t have to snack all the time

Snacking throughout the day is not a requirement for weight loss. While it does ensure you’re never hungry and rarely overeating at one meal, some experts say that snacking leads to weight gain in a long-term scenario. The key to weight loss is eating less. Whether you’re eating three meals or six smaller ones throughout the day, your goal is the same: burning more calories than you consume.

Frequent snacking alters the natural rhythm of your digestive system, causing it to build up a strong appetite that requires regular feeding.

By frequently snacking at mealtimes or skipping meals altogether, one risks losing important nutrients. Some also say that frequent snacking or increased snacks add up to excess calories, leading to unwanted weight gain.

Is snacking right for you?

There are some things that you need to consider when choosing your snacks. Remember that the consumption of snacks should depend on your personal nutritional needs. It’s best to incorporate healthy snacks in a well-balanced diet composed of lean meats and proteins, whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and nuts. Ditch the sugary snacks and stick to healthy ones.

You should pick snacks that will keep you full for a while and won’t spike your blood sugar or cause unnecessary calories after you eat them. Thankfully, Atlanta has great places where you can buy healthy snacks:

  • Mixed nuts

Whether you’re looking for a nutritious snack or a tasty topping, nuts are a fantastic option. They provide the perfect balance of healthy fats, rich protein, low sodium content (make sure they’re unsalted), and high fiber in a single serving. Eating nuts has a lot of health benefits, such as the reduced risk of certain diseases and boost weight loss.

Nuts contain mostly unsaturated fat, which is a concentrated source of energy. Unsaturated fat is associated with a reduced risk of heart disease and other conditions. Healthy nut sources like walnuts and cashews also help decrease your appetite and increase your feelings of fullness. This means that you may naturally eat less throughout the day.

  • Hard-boiled eggs

With so many snack choices in the market, it is no surprise that most people don’t realize that eggs are great snack choices for weight loss. Eggs are one of the healthiest and most weight-loss-friendly foods you can eat.

Eggs are incredibly filling due to their high protein content, so eggs will keep you full throughout your day or while on the go. Choose eggs free from antibiotics and hormones, which means you can eat them worry-free.

  • Apple slices with peanut butter

Apples and peanut butter combo is a classic snack that is delicious and nutritious. Individually, apples and peanuts are loaded with nutrients. When paired, they provide a healthy protein, fat, and fiber balance.

Eating apples and peanut butter have many health benefits, such as reducing inflammation, supporting digestion, promoting heart health, and balancing blood sugar levels. This snack combo is a good way to help you reach your weight loss goals while still feeling full and satisfied.

  • Dark chocolate

It is not surprising that you crave chocolate snacks sometimes. Several studies have shown that chocolate stimulates the release of endorphins and serotonin, the “feel-good” chemicals in the brain. However, not all chocolates are the same. If you want a healthy snack, go for dark chocolate because it has fewer calories, sugars, and highly-processed ingredients.

Dark chocolate contains at least 70% cocoa, packed with polyphenols. Polyphenols are plant compounds with potent antioxidant activity, beneficial for heart health and brain function.

Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) is for men and women to live happier and healthier lives.

Bioidentical Hormones Atlanta GAAging is brutal for both men and women. When we age, our hormones decline. This leads to hormone imbalance and affects mood, metabolism, and sexual and reproductive functions.

In general, aging and hormone imbalance takes a toll on one’s emotional wellbeing. If you’re having the symptoms of aging and want to feel young again, you can ask for hormone specialist to restore your balance with bioidentical hormones

While lifelong hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is an option, some men and women are looking for a non-traditional, more natural treatment that will alleviate the negative symptoms of age-related hormone decline and treat the aging process.

Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy may offer the best chance of rejuvenating your body and mind by balancing your hormones.

Aging is natural, and it’s mandatory… but suffering from signs and symptoms of aging is not!

Bioidentical Hormones: What Hormones Decline With Age?

As we age, certain hormones are produced at much lower levels. This causes an imbalance in our system, causing haywire symptoms, such as mood swings, weight gain, decreased libido, and lower energy levels.

  • Estrogen – Estrogen is the most important female sex hormone. Men also produce estrogen, but women make it at higher levels. Estrogen is very tricky to regulate, and balancing its levels in women is important for controlling weight. At puberty, increased estrogen levels promote fat storage, which is associated with weight gain.

In pregnant and obese women, estrogen levels are usually elevated as well. Low estrogen levels may also lead to infertility in women. Meanwhile, menopausal women have generally decreased estrogen levels, promoting insulin resistance and weight gain in different parts of the body, especially in the hips, thighs, and abdomen.

  • Progestin & Progesterone – Progestin is a type of progesterone. The ovaries and placenta produce progesterone, and adrenal glands regulate the condition of the endometrium, which is the inner lining of the uterus. Progesterone is very important in conception and pregnancy.

Progestin is a synthetic steroid hormone that helps in birth control and the treatment of endometriosis and menstrual disorders and restores changes in sexual desire.

  • Testosterone – Testosterone is a hormone that plays an important role in sexual function. It stimulates some of the body’s cells to grow and process. As men age, their testosterone levels drop gradually. This leads to decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, declining energy levels, mood swings, and weight gain.

What Happens When My Hormones Are Not Balanced?

Hormonal imbalance is a natural part of life, especially in older men and women. Signs and symptoms of hormonal imbalance affect their daily lives and hamper their quality of life. Symptoms of hormonal imbalance include:

  • Bloating
  • Fatigue
  • Irritability
  • Hair Loss
  • Mood swings
  • Problems with blood sugar
  • Infertility
  • Brain fog or cognitive decline

What are Bioidentical Hormones?

Bioidentical Hormones Atlanta GA

Bioidentical hormones mimic the body’s natural way of producing specific hormones that become depleted as we age.

Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) is a safe and effective alternative to HRT to alleviate signs and symptoms of hormone imbalance in both men and women.

BHRT focuses on replacing hormones that decline naturally rather than introducing synthetic versions of hormones into the body. It provides relief from symptoms and related conditions associated with age-related hormone decline.

Bioidentical hormone therapy is the safest and most effective way to relieve the symptoms of hormone issues. BHRT Therapy will help you treat age-related hormonal decline. Say goodbye to mood changes, low energy levels, sleep problems, and low libido.

BHRT can positively affect one’s attitude, mood, and cognition. BHRT is helpful in restoring your energy levels so you can do more daily. Rejuvenate your intimacy with your partner with an increased sex drive. You will generally see an improved mood and overall improved quality of life after BHRT.

BHRT is generally safe. However, we should be wary of contraindications and warning labels to avoid side effects caused by BHRT. If you opt for BHRT, it is recommended to use the lowest effective dosage possible.

British Study Finds HRT Used to Treat Menopause Does not Increase the Risk of Dementia

Bioidentical Hormone Therapy Atlanta GAAre you looking for bioidentical hormone therapy for women? A new study has found that hormone replacement therapy does not increase the risk of developing dementia in menopausal and perimenopausal women.

The study was conducted in the UK and published in the BMJ. The researchers concluded that hormone replacement therapy (HRT) does not seem to increase the risk of developing dementia.

This was a very large study. Using UK medical records, the researchers involved in the new study identified 118,501 women age 55 and over who were diagnosed with dementia between 1998 and 2020.

A control group consisted of 497,416 women matched by age and by the same medical practice who had no records for dementia.

Of the women with a dementia diagnosis, they found that 16,291 — 14% — had used HRT. The same percentage of women in the control group, or 68,726 of them, also used the treatment.

While it has been suggested that women who use hormone replacement have a higher risk of dementia, the recent large-scale trial showed no significant difference between those with and without hormones.

According to the study, overall, there were no increased risks of developing dementia associated with menopausal hormone therapy “regardless of hormone type, application, dose, or duration of treatment.

Bioidentical Hormone Therapy

Every day we are learning more about the truth and exploding many of the myths and misconceptions about hormone replacement therapy. It is always good news when we find out more about the safety and effectiveness of hormone replacement therapy to treat menopause.

If you want your HRT experience to go as smoothly and without a few unexpected side effects or risks, then make sure that bioidentical hormones are an option! Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy has become the preferred treatment for men and women suffering from age-related hormone decline symptoms.

Bioidentical hormones are safer and more effective than synthetic hormones, which is why they’re better for your health. Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) can offer significant relief from bothersome symptoms that happen just before, during, and after menopause; BHRT also has a low risk of side effects like those experienced with traditional hormone replacement.

If you are between the ages of 35-55, look for these signs and symptoms of your hormone levels being low or out of balance:

  • Weakness and fatigue
  • Depression and mood swings
  • Weight gain
  • Loss of muscle tone
  • Insomnia and/or disturbed sleep patterns
  • Night sweats (women)
  • Hot flashes (women)
  • Erectile Dysfunction (men)

The only way to know if you qualify for bioidentical hormone therapy is through a series of specific diagnostic tests.

If your level of testosterone, growth hormone or other critical age-related hormones is determined to be sub-optimal or otherwise imbalanced, you may meet the criteria for bioidentical hormone therapy.

Bioidentical hormones can be delivered in several forms depending on your needs and lifestyle. In addition to injections, creams, patches, or pills are among the other delivery methods of bioidentical hormones that we offer at Bubolo Medical.

Every woman’s body is different, and what works for one may not work the same way as someone else. We will recommend which form of bioidentical hormones is best for you based on your symptoms, hormone levels, medical history, and lifestyle.
